James ThomasJanuary 19, 1937 ~ July 5, 2009Mr. James Thomas, 72, of Gurley, Alabama died Sunday at a local hospital. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 AM at the Hazel Green Funeral Home with Rev. J.W. Hawkins and Judge Hartwell Lutz officiating. Burial will follow in Cameron Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Thomas; his children, Vicki Thomas Doty, James W. Thomas, Michael "Bob" Thomas; Mark Thomas; Chris Thomas and Lisa Thomas; two sisters, Louise Huffer and Barbara Richardson; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 PM at the Hazel Green Funeral Home.
