James "Jim" WilsonMarch 30, 1923 ~ March 22, 2011Mr. James "Jim" Wilson, 87, of Hazel Green, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday from his home surrounded by his wife and children. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in World War II, was a lifetime farmer, and a deacon of Bevills Chapel Baptist Church. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Rachel Stewart Wilson; 2 sons: Paul Wilson and wife, Linda and Jerry Wilson and wife, Raynell. 3 sisters: Annie Robinson, Ovie Lasater, and Belle Hicks. 1 brother, Wade Wilson. 4 Grandchildren: Charlotte Berry, Sandra Stewart, Brian Wilson, and Brad Wilson along with 4 great-grandchildren, Rachel and Angus Roberson, Katlyn and James Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Bessie Kirby Wilson and his brothers, Tom, Ed, Casto and Joe Wilson. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5 until 8pm at the Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2pm at the funeral home with Rev. Eddie Clardy officiating. Burial will follow in Bevills Chapel Cemetery.Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
