James "Buddy" Green

James "Buddy" Green, 62, of Hazel Green, went to be with the Lord on Friday after a two year battle with cancer. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Buddy was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother.  He loved people, children, and loved playing pranks and making people laugh.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Alvin "Bud" Green Sr.

Surviving family members include his wife of 27 years, Aleasia "Ally" Brady Green;  His daughter, Jennifer Green Akridge (Rodney Reid and his daughter, Alyssa).  His son and daughter-in-law, Daniel & Ashley Green;  His six grandchildren:  Brianna Akridge (Zack) Yother, Lindsay Akridge  (Cole) Johnson, Donald Renfroe-Green,  Hannah Green, Krista Green, and Bently Green.  He is also survived by his mother, Peggy Sullivan, his sisters, Patricia Rigdon and P.J. Callahan, and by his brother, Ricky Green.

THe family will receive friends on Thursday evening at 5pm at The Covering Christian Fellowship at the corner of Morris Road and Opp Reynolds Road in Toney.  A Celebration of Life with military honors will follow at 6pm with Donald Blevins officiating.
