Janey Pauline Mullins, 87, was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on Thursday (March 16, 2017). She was born on May 23, 1929 in Lincoln County to the late Ervie and Francis Pearl (Fannie) Mullins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband and father of her children, Oscar Leon DuBoise; one daughter, Ruby Jean DuBois; and five sisters, Retha Flynn, Rena Bush, Erdice Gammon, Lucille and Theola Mullins.

Ms. Mullins is survived by one son, Daniel DuBoise; seven daughters, Kathryn Ingram, Carolyn Spurgeon, Mary Ellen Ladner, Sherry Webb Boyd, Rita Riley, Vickey DuBoise Price, and Janey DuBoise; nineteen grandchildren; twenty nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was a devoted and loving mother, a nurturing grandmother, and a sweet person who deeply touched the lives of all who knew her. Janey faithfully and selflessly cared for her entire family throughout her life. Her faith in God was unwavering. She had a lively spirit that would make anyone smile. This one sentence nicely sums up how fondly she will be remembered: Our Angel that lived, laughed, and loved.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, Mar. 18, at Hazel Green Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at Kirkland Cemetery in Taft, TN.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of North Alabama.
