Jerry "Jerome" Wallace

Mr. Jerry "Jerome" Wallace, 75, of Hazel Green, passed away on Wednesday.

Mr. Wallace had retired from Huntsville Fire & Rescue after 35 years of service.  He was a Christian and had been a part of Huntsville Park Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church of Hazel Green.    Jerome was an avid sports fan who enjoyed participating in many sports himself as well as watching his grandchildren play.   In his earlier years, he was very involved in school and community activities with his daughters, their friends, and was loved by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Wallace & Elizabeth Wallace, and by his two brothers, Larry & Delton Wallace.

Surviving family members include his wife of 55+ years, LaRue Wallace of Hazel Green, Alabama;  His daughters, Kelly Price and her husband, Travis, and Sherry Fowler.  His grandchildren, Ty Rhoden, Forrest Bailey Rhoden, Noah Fowler, Gracie Prince, and Madison Prince; His brother, Troy Wallace.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:30pm at the funeral home.  Burial with honors will follow in Charity Cemetery.
