Jo Cates
October 11, 1942 — October 17, 2022
Jo Cates, 80, of Hazel Green, passed away on Monday.
She was a Christian and was a faithful member of Stateline Church of Christ. She loved life, enjoyed time with her family and friends and enjoyed cooking for her family. She had retired from the City of Huntsville and also enjoyed working as a tour guide at Constitution Hall Village.
Surviving family members include her three sons: Jeff (Debbie) Cates, Joel (Jennifer) Cates, and Jeremy (Jacqueline) Cates; Five grandchildren: Courtney (Daniel) Lane, Brody Cates, and Jadd Cates; Collin Cates and Chandler Cates; Two great-grandchildren: Adelynn Lane and Rhett Lane; One brother, Ted Allbritton and one sister, Geri (Tony) Pitts.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Gene & Lorene Allbritton.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10am until 12 Noon at Hazel Green Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1pm at Lynchburg Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the Gardens of Hazel Green, Donalson Care Center, Maury Regional Hospital, and Lincoln Medical Home Health and Hospice for their loving care and support.
