John L. BrooksSeptember 3, 1944 ~ December 18, 2009Mr. John L. Brooks, 65, of Hazel Green died Friday at a local hospital. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Brooks; his children, Mary Ellen Brooks and Sherri Ann Brooks; one grandson, John Canaan Brooks; two sisters, Martha Bradford and Ruth Robinson and two brothers, Lawrence Brooks and Roy Taylor Brooks. Visitation is Sunday 5 to 8 PM at the Hazel Green Funeral Home. The funeral service is Monday 11 AM at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Rickey Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Kelso Cemetery. Hazel Green Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
