Johnny Robert Henderson III, 35, of Hazel Green, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 19, 2021.
Johnny was a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church of Meridianville where he served in various children's ministries. He worked as a program manager for Thompson Gray. He was formerly a law enforcement officer with Florence Police Department and the University of Alabama in Huntsville Police Department.
Johnny was a devoted son, husband, father and brother, and he loved spending time with his sons - especially serving as a coach in various sports.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Teresa C. Henderson; His grandfathers, Elmer B. White and John Thomas Chapman; His grandmother, Joyce Pearl Henderson; His uncles, Timothy A. Henderson, Jack Chapman, Steve Chapman, and Larry Chapman.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Allison Watson Henderson; By his two sons, Carter Andrew Henderson and Cason Bennett Henderson; By his father, Johnny Robert "Robby" (Tomi) Henderson Jr; His sister, Bethany (fiance, Andrew McAnulty) Henderson; His grandmother, Dora Watkins Chapman; His grandfather, Johnny Robert Henderson Sr; His aunt, Tammie Jo (Trint) Hagan; His aunt, Judy Chapman; His aunt, Melissa J. Henderson; His uncle, Dowell C. Burnett Jr; His father-in-law and mother-in-law, Phillip & Phyllis Watson; His brothers-in-law, Brent (Kelly) Watson and Lance Watson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5 until 8pm at the First Baptist Church of Meridianville. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11am at the church with Rev. David Hutto officiating. Burial will follow the service and will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
Casket bearers will be Evan Mitchell, Shane Mayer, Andrew McAnulty, David Houk, Brent Watson, and Lance Watson.
