Joseph "Mousey" Pendergraft, 75, of Elora, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday. He had worked for W.L. Kennedy Construction and then for Mike Kennedy Construction until he retired.
He loved being part of his church at the First Baptist Church of Elora, was a Christian, and loved to read his Bible. He also loved to sit outside and listen to country music and play with his cat, Boots. Mousey loved watching westerns on TV.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey Dale Pendergraft; his brothers, Robert Pendergraft and James Cagle; and his sisters, Katie Brewer and Betty Jo Pogue. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ola Kate Newgent Pendergraft; his sisters, Faye Brewer, Iva Jean Lamb, Rachel Lamb, and Alta Moore.
The family will receive friends on Monday beginning at 11am at the First Baptist Church of Elora. Funeral services will be at 2pm at the church with the Revs. Ed Johnson, Billy Jenkins, Guindall Knight and Mike Keel officiating. Burial will follow in Cochran Cemetery in New Market.
Casket Bearers will be Andrew Chaput, Jacob Chaput, Ben Gaines, Wesley Pope, Nick Shelton, and Justin Shelton. Honorary Casket Bearer will be Larry Jenkins.
