Juanita Whisenant Mcdow

Juanita Whisenant McDow, 84, of Flintville, Tennessee passed away on Friday at her home.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, her church, and her cat, Toee.

She was preceded in death by her daughters-in-law, Kathy Whisenant and Connie Whisenant, by her father, Hugh Moore, by her mother and step-father, Exie Layton Simms and Les Simms, and by her brothers and sisters: Billy Moore, Skip Moore, Dude Moore, Gene Moore, Alvada Burrough, and Blake Moore.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry McDow of Flintville, Tennessee; Her children, Becky Brandon of Whitmier, South Carolina; Lawrence “Whiz” Whisenant of Hazel Green, Alabama;  William “Bill” Whisenant of Hartselle, Alabama; Jerry and Lovell Whisenant of Hazel Green, Alabama; Her step-children, Joni McDow of Fayetteville, Tennessee and Wilson McDow of Toney, Alabama.  Her grandchildren, Chris Brandon, Brandy Brandon, Ricky Whisenant, Melissa Stoltz, Timmy Whisenant, Jessica Mason, Craig Whisenant, Jenna Fanning, Jerod Whisenant, & Devon Whisenant;  She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, her sister, Dorothy Tulley, her brother, Carl Moore, and by her sisters-in-law, Ruth Moore and Lovey Moore.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11am at the funeral home and burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery.
