Kevin Leroy Squires

Kevin Leroy Squires, 50, of Hazel Green, passed away on September 13, 2018 in Huntsville, AL.

Visitation services will be held Tuesday, September 18 from 5pm-8pm with funeral services held at 11am Wednesday, September 19. Both services will be at Hazel Green Funeral Home with Pastor Lon Ostrzycki of Bethlehem Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery.

Kevin was born in Eaton Rapids, Michigan to Fred and June Squires on November 19, 1967. He married Amanda Elizabeth Squires on August 2, 1997 and they were blessed with three children. He was a veteran of the US Army and served as a MP. He started his career with the Huntsville Police Department as a Detention Officer  and then later retired from the Madison County Sheriff Department Corrections Division.   He was involved in coaching multiple athletes including youth at Hazel Green Athletic Association and the Buckhorn community.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father Frederick Leroy Squires.

Kevin is survived by his spouse: Amanda Squires; his children: Andrew, Elizabeth, Jacob, and Allison Squires; mother: June Squires; sister: Bethaney Squires; in-laws: Ricky and Eva Armstrong, Jeremy Armstrong, and Amy Allen; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers are Jacob Squires, Travis Hogan, Ron Sweat, AJ Allen, Aaron Childress, Matt Caneer and  Dr. John Boyle.
