Lee Joseph Robertson, 71, a Christian man of Hazel Green Alabama went to be with His LORD and Savior Jesus Christ on December 24th, 2024. He was born April 18th, 1953 in Waukesha, Wisconsin to the late Douglas Andrew Robertson and Roberta Aloysia (Lang) Robertson.
He graduated from Fairview High School in Boulder, Colorado with the class of 1971.
Lee went on to work for Imperial Lithographic in Phoenix, Arizona and then was employed by Denver Public Schools and Jefferson County Schools as a bus driver and bus assistant.
Lee married his best friend Karen Jean Shelley, on May 27, 1978 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was a loving husband to his wife of 46 years and a loving father to his children Aaron Lee and Christa Leigh.
Lee, along with his wife Karen spent the majority of his life raising his family in Westminster, Colorado where he enjoyed camping, boating and the mountains. He liked to play the guitar and sing.
Lee loved Jesus and strived to pattern his life according to the Word of God. He shared the love of God by word and deed with many throughout his life. He put his faith into action by being very involved in the pro-life movement which heavily influenced his family and those around him—towards this end, he also campaigned for the office of Colorado State Representative. He was involved with Billy Graham Ministries and also believed in helping the persecuted church.
Lee will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. He is survived by his wife Karen of Hazel Green Alabama, son Aaron and wife Sarah of Taft Tennessee and their children Tyler Robertson (wife Katy) of Huntsville Alabama, Jacob Robertson, Josiah Robertson, Zachary Robertson, and Caraleigh Robertson. Also surviving Lee are his brothers Doug ( Deborah ) Robertson of Delta Colorado, and Scott Robertson of Silt Colorado, and his sisters Jean and (Pat ) Arroyo of Longmont Colorado , and Susan of Thornton, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his daughter Christa Robertson.
Family and friends are invited to attend the celebration of Lee’s life on Sunday January 5th, 2025 at 4:00p at the Hazel Green Funeral Home (13921 Highway 231 431 N.)
