Leonard Monroe Hunt, 90, of Brownsboro, Alabama, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022.
He is survived by his loving wife, Melba of 37 years; Three daughters: Terri (Greg) Gray, Mitzi (Sam) Williams, and Cindy (Paul) Jones; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, George and Flossie Hunt; Three sisters: Virginia Hunt, Fay Jones, and Mae Blanton; Three brothers: James, Junior, and Elvis Hunt; Two nieces: Joann Hunt and Tina Ward.
Leonard graduated from Lexington High SChool and joined the Navy where he served for eight years. He continued in his love of music serving as Music Director and in Song Evangelism for 40 years. He worked as Photo Engraver for Orlando Sentinel for 10 years and The Huntsville Times for 30 years, before retiring in 1996.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10am until 12pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at Noon at the funeral home. Burial will then be in Nebo Cemetery in Lexington, Alabama.
