Lillian Wheeler Law, 93, of Toney, Alabama, went to be with the Lord on Friday while surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Albert Law, by several brothers and sisters, and by her parents, Walter and Lizzie Malone Wheeler.

Mrs. Law is survived by her daughter, Carol Law Carroll and her husband, Bob; Her son, Billy Law, and his wife, Diane; Her grandchildren: Amanda Steinhauser, Michelle Law, Jamey (Kasi) Carroll, Beth (Blake) Webster, Joseph (Holly) Carroll; Her great-grandchildren: Allison Steinhauser, Mason Carroll, Tucker Carroll, and Kate Carroll.  She is also survived by her sister, Mary Sanford and her sisters-in-law, Jimmie Wheeler and Nina Perry, and by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Law retired from the Madison County Tax Collectors office where she served for 25 years.  However, if asked about her occupation, she would proudly say that she was a farmer.  She enjoyed her role as advisor to Bragg Farms.  She was a member of Murphy Hill Baptist Church and remained active until June 2015 when she became too ill to attend worship. She sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, served meals, and, when necessary, raked leaves.  She was the unofficial historian of the church.

She was lovingly referred to as "Pudder" by her grandchildren and most everyone she knew.

The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 4 until 6pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.   Funeral services will be at 11am on Monday at Murphy Hill Baptist Church.   Burial will be in Stateline Cemetery .

Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
