Linda Gail (Lee) Jones

Linda Gail Lee Jones of New Market passed away on Friday surrounded by her loved ones.  She was 67.   She was born and raised in Huntsville and then had lived in New Market for 31 years.

Linda was a 34 year skin cancer survivor.   She was always a hard worker and had jobs at NASA, Cinram, and United Plating, to name a few.  In 2011 she stopped working outside the home in order to care for her husband.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Leslie Lee and by her mother, Mildred Marie Allen Lee;  her son, William Leslie Pugh;  her step-son, Timmothy Jones.

Surviving family members include her husband of 30 years, Ronald Wayne Jones; Her daughter and son-in-law, Keri & Ron Garrett; her step-son, Ronald Wayne Jones Jr;  her grandson, Nicholas (Shawna) Fountain; her grandson, Zachary Fountain;  her brother, Roger Lee;  her sister, Debbie Ashby;  her sister, Tina Buchanan; her brother, Ricky Lee;  her sister, Sondra Farmer.

She is also survived by her great-grandchildren:  Raelynn Fountain, Keegan Fountain, Skylar Fountain, Hezekiah Masters, and Aleida Masters, along with several other family members.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5pm until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Eric Lones officiating. Burial will follow the service and will be in New Sharon Cemetery.

Linda will be remembered by those who knew her as a family woman who loved deeply, was selfless, and who always put the needs of others above her own needs.
