Luke Alan Carlisle

Luke Carlisle, 33, of St. Louis, Missouri, formerly of the East Limestone Community, passed away on Monday.  He was a 2000 graduate of East Limestone High School and attended Calhoun Community College.  He worked for Winn Dixie for a number of years and then for Verizon Wireless.  He loved plants, cooking, traveling, and working on his lawn and his home.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Othel Morris & Mary Craig and Fred Carlisle Sr. & Helen Bailey Smallwood; His aunt, Wanda Flynn; His great-grandmother, Viginia Lipscomb.

Luke is survived by his mother, Gail Morris, and his father, Fred Carlisle Jr.; His sister, Audrey Nichols and her husband, Jason; His niece, Hayden Nichols;  His nephews, Briar, Wyatt, and Mason Nichols.  He is also survived by his closest friend, James Hart.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  A celebration of life will be Saturday at 2pm at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery.
