Marie (Allen) Lee

Mildred Marie Allen Lee, 79, of Hazel Green, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday.

She was a Christian woman and attended Grace Family Worship Center and loved to sing gospel songs.  She was a hard worker and worked at several jobs including Huntsville Manufacturing, Automatic Electric, and Huntsville Hospital,  She was a good wife, mother, and grandmother and was a 10 year survivor of breast cancer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Allen & Lillie Allen, and by four sisters, and four brothers.

Surviving family members include her husband of 63 years, Gordon Lee Jr.;  Her sons: Roger Lee and Ricky Lee;  Her daughters:  Linda Lee Jones, Debbie Lee Ashby, Tina Lee Buchanan, and Sondra Lee Farmer.  She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her siblings: Tom Allen, Alfred Allen, Dale Allen, Barbara Allen Payton, Joan Allen Stapler, and Gail Allen Asby.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 until 9pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Saturday at 2pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.   Burial will follow in New Sharon Cemetery.
