Mary Nell Cowart

Mary Nell Cowart of Huntsville, Alabama passed away on Thursday. She was 92.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and was known as "Nana" by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a Christian and a member of St. Mary's of the Visitation Catholic Church.
Ms. Cowart was preceded in death by her son, Frederick Mills; Her grandson, Andrew Mills; Her siblings: Hayden Cowart, Noel Cowart, John Cowart, Lynn Cowart, Raymond Cowart, Erlene McKelvey, Flora Cunningham, and Gladys Boles.
Surviving family members include her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah & Steve Benson; her daughter, Patricia Mills; her son, David Mills; her daughter, Mary Mills; her grandchildren: Danny (Stefanie) Benson, Tommy (Chandra) Benson, Michael Sims, Aaron MIlls, Adam Mills, Anthony Laskowski, Michelle Gilliland, and Brian Mills. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family will celebrate Ms. Cowart's life with a private service and burial at Union Grove Cemetery in Union Grove, Alabama.
