Mary Sue (York) Emery
April 30, 1931 — September 26, 2015
Mary Sue Emery, 84, of Athens, Alabama, formerly of Hazel Green, passed away on Saturday.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Herald; Her sons: Luther Emery, John Emery, and Jerry Emery; Mrs. Emery is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Thomas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burlin Emery; Two sons: Bobby Joe Emery and Gary Wayne Emery.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2pm at the funeral home with Rev. Wade Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Charity Cemetery.
