Mary Alice Hall

Mary Alice Hall of Hazel Green, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2023 at the age of 95.

She was born October 20, 1927 to Albert B. and Minnie Morris and was raised and resided her entire life within  a 3 mile radius from the Hazel Green airport. She graduated from Hazel Green School in 1945. She married Joseph Burley Hall when he returned from WWII in December of 1945. They purchased a farm on Ready Section Road where they lived, worked and raised three children. They had 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was “Nana” to everyone she met. She was quick to feed you and tell you to come back and see her again.

She was proceded in death by her parents, Albert and Minnie Morris and her siblings, and her daughter, Jane Hall Harris and her husband, Joseph Burley Hall.

She is survived by her sons Joseph B. Hall Jr. (Shirleon) and Edward Hall (Joni), Tony Harris (Joyce), and daughter-in-love, Brenda Hall, grandchildren Joey Hall (Alethea), Valerie Thomas (Marty), Mark Hall (Heather), Jolie Guillebeau (Chris), Heather Ellett (James), Ashley Hall, Jenica Kelley (Billy), Tera Wages (Wes), Sara Phillips (Jake), Jon Hall (Courtney), honorary grandson Zack Barnes (Stephanie), her niece Shirley Milam and honorary little sister Marilyn Myers.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday, 5:30PM - 7:30 PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Charity Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Joey, Mark, Jon, Marty, James, and Jake.
