Mary Alice Moreno
December 25, 1938 — January 25, 2021
Mary Alice Moreno, 82, of Hazel Green, went to be with the Lord on Monday evening.
She was a faithful Christian and a member of Plainview Church of Christ where she loved spending time with the "WISH" group. She loved to travel and enjoyed shopping. Alice also loved time with her family, reading her Bible, and working puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her husbands: Joe Brumlow and Bill Moreno; Her parents, Harley & Sillar Cater; Her daughter, Brenda Gillen; Her son, Rickey Brumlow. Her granddaughter, Heather Deweese; Her sister, Florence Durham.
Surviving family members include her children: Gale (Steve) Deweese, LeAnn Brumlow, Vicki Richardson, Bill Moreno Jr., Michelle Myers; Her brother, Charles Cater; Her sister, Faye Winter; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday beginning at 1pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2pm. Mrs. Moreno will be interred at New Sharon Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Outreach Center at Plainview Church of Christ or to the American Heart Association.
