Obituary lovingly written and provided by family...

Ms. Mary E. Roberts Parks, 98, of Huntsville Alabama, was welcomed into heaven on March 26, 2025.  She was greeted by her parents Fate and Daisy Roberts, her beloved husband of 38 years Bud Parks, their infant son Buddy Junior Parks, her siblings Fred Roberts, Billy Roberts, Alice Flippo, Beulah Aycock and Mildred Sharp.

Mary was born on February 5, 1927, as the fourth child of her parents.  She married Bud Parks on July 24, 1944, and soon after, the couple moved to 7th Avenue, where Mary lived until her passing.  Her yard, filled with flowers, bushes, and trees, became a cherished landmark in the neighborhood.  Walking through the gates and down the path to her little house felt like stepping back in time----a place filled with Beauty, history and love.

As passionate gardener, Mary found joy in tending to her flowers and spending time outdoors.  She also loved baseball, often attending games with her husband, Bud.  Football, western movies, soap operas, especially Days of our Lives and All My Children and Wheel of Fortune were among her favorite pastimes.

Mary cherished family adventures with her siblings, particularly Alice "Al" and Fred.  They would visit places like Guntersville Dam and explore the scenic trails of Natchez Trace, creating fond memories that Mary enjoyed sharing throughout her life.

One of Mary's greatest joys in recent years was the visits from Sam.  Sam would come by a few times a month to play the guitar and sing with her, filling her home with music and warmth.  On Sunday, Sam will honor Mary one last time by playing the guitar during her funeral service.

Mary is survived by four generations of nieces and nephews, including her special great-nephew Philip Farmer and his girlfriend Michelle Goff, and her close caregiver and friend Vivian Dulac "Bell".  The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the hospice personnel for the compassionate care provided to Mary during her final days.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 30, 2025 from 1:00 PM - 3:00PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  The funeral service to celebrate Marys life will begin at 3:00 PM with Mike Cranston, associate pastor of West Huntsville Baptist Church officiating.  Burial and a short committal service will follow at Concord Cemetery.
