Mary Katherine RoarkFebruary 21, 1929 ~ October 1, 2010Mary Katherine Roark, 81, of Toney passed away October 1. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Reese Roark; her brother, Henry Blanton and sister Miriam Cook.Survivors include her son, Reese Madison Roark and wife Eileen of Antioch, California; her daughter, Julia Johnson and husband Bud of Toney; her grandchildren, Jared Johnson of Atlanta and Janna Davis and husband Beau; her great-grandchildren, Ashley, Marisa, Julia-Reese Davis, Drew and wife Susan; her great great-grandson, Hudson Miller Davis all of Birmingham; her two sisters, Francis Bowen of Boiling Springs, North Carolina and Margaret Caldwell; her sister-in-law, Lenora Blanton both of Gaffney, South Carolina; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.Mrs. Roark lived in Oak Ridge, Tennessee for many years operating a fabric business. Later she served as an Anderson County Deputy Sheriff.Visitation is Saturday 11 am till 1 pm at the Hazel Green Funeral Home. The funeral service is Saturday 1 pm at the funeral home chapel with Pastor John Sayre officiating. Burial will follow in Madison Cross Roads Cemetery.
