Mary (Wheeler) Sanford

Mary Wheeler Sanford passed away peacefully on Saturday at her home.  She was 92.  Having been born and raised in Madison County, she married her late husband and spent their married life in the Hermitage Hills community of Nashville, Tennessee where she worked in banking.   After the death of her husband, she relocated to Meridianville, Alabama.

Mrs. Sanford was a Christian and a member of Murphy Hill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Turley London "T.L." Sanford Jr. and by her siblings:  David Wheeler, Johnnie Wheeler, Gent Wheeler, Howard Wheeler, Fred Wheeler, Mamie Knowles, Ruth McAlister, Lillian Law, and Lizzie Mae Wheeler.

Surviving family members include her sons, Charles Sanford and Dennis Sanford and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 4pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home with Chaplain Laura Lemley officiating.   The family will receive friends an hour before the service.   A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at Noon at Hermitage Memorial Gardens in Old Hickory, Tennessee.
