MONROE W. NUNLEYApril 11, 1927 - November 10, 2008Mr. Monroe Nunley, Jr. 81, of Hazel Green passed away in his home Monday morning surrounded by family and friends.He was a native of Madison County. He was a devoted family man, and is survived by his loving wife, Alvarine B. Nunley; three children, Diane Johnson and husband Sam (Toby) of Montgomery, AL, Trena Pierce and husband Ron of Cullman, AL, Danny Nunley and wife Judy of Hazel Green, AL; sister's Reba Neaves of Huntsville, AL, Geneva Underwood of Decatur, AL, and Janet Carter of Huntsville, AL, and brother Dewey Nunley of Hazel Green, AL; six grandchildren, Tina Smith of Montgomery, AL, Ryan Pierce of Huntsville, AL, Matt Nunley of Huntsville, AL, Heather Gudger of Cullman, AL, Chris Nunley of Hazel Green , AL, and Brandi Gardner of Hazel Green, AL; and six great-grandchildren.Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday, 5pm-8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home in Hazel Green, AL. 13921 Hwy. 231-431 N., Hazel Green, AL 35750. The funeral service for Mr. Nunley will be held Wednesday at 2pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Interment will be at Charity Cemetery on Charity Lane, Hazel Green, AL.
