Daryl Eugene DeShazer, 63, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2015 at his home in Hazel Green, Alabama. Daryl was born on January 6, 1952 in Fullerton, California. His parents were Bill DeShazer and LaVonne (Fuerst) DeShazer. He graduated from Fountain Valley High School in Fountain Valley, California. He continued his education at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, California.

In 1972, he married Jana Weiler. Daryl was employed as a field engineer at Bendex Field Engineering in Fountain Valley, California. In 1975, Daryl and Jana welcomed their daughter, Shelly.

In 1977, Daryl accepted a job at Litton Data Systems and moved his family to Fountain, Colorado. He continued his work as a field engineer at Litton Data Systems for over 20 years. In 1981, Jana and Daryl welcomed their son Douglas. In 1995, Daryl moved to Hazel Green, Alabama where he worked as a manufacturing manager at Brown International in Huntsville, Alabama until he retired in 2012.

Daryl's hobbies included hunting, fishing, boating, coin collecting, NHRA and Nascar and watching his favorite football team the Denver Broncos.

He will truly be missed by all his family and friends.

Survivors include his Daughter, Shelly Galetto, his Son-in-Law Thomas Galetto, his Grandsons Benjamin and Jackson Galetto; his Son, Douglas DeShazer; his Brother Randy DeShazer; his Sister Renee Weiss; his Uncle Jerry and Aunt Ruth Fuerst; and his best friend Lora Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and LaVonne DeShazer.

Funeral services will be at Hazel Green Funeral Home on Friday, April 24 at Noon with Rev. Andrew Crotts officiating. The family will receive friends beginning an hour before the service.
