Mrs. Edna League Sharp
May 7, 1916 — October 31, 2014
Mrs. Edna League Sharp, 98, of Hazel Green, Alabama, passed away on Friday at her home. She was a member of Carter's Grove Baptist Church and had worked for a number of years at P.R. Mallory in Huntsville. She also worked as a substitute teacher at Madison Cross Roads School and on the family farm.
Mrs. Sharp was an avid fan of the Hazel Green Trojans, Calhoun and the Athens State softball teams.
She was preceded in death by her husband, H.L. Sharp; Her parents, George and Mattie League; Her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Oscar and Hattie Sharp; Her daughter, Judy Anders; Her sons-in-law, Raymond Anders and Tommy Raby; One great-great grandchild, Thomas Raby;
She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Raby; Her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Percilla Sharp; Her grandchildren, Tommy Raby, Scotty Anders, Monica Whitt, & Mel Campbell; Mrs. Sharp is also survived by her four great-grandchildren: Ben and Kayla Raby and Casey and Cooper Campbell; One great-great grandchild, Karah Raby;
The family will receive friends on Saturday beginning at 11am at the Hazel Green Funeral Home; Funeral services will follow at 1pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Billy Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Charity Cemetery.
