Mrs. Florence Cater Durham
April 11, 1937 — May 14, 2013
Florence Cater Durham, 76, of Hazel Green, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning. She was a lifelong member of Elkwood Church of Christ and she loved serving God, her church, and the elderly as a caregiver.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Wayne Durham, and by her parents, Harley and Sillar Cater.
Mrs. Durham is survived by her children: Connie Durham McMunn, Jerry Durham and his wife, Elba Rodriguez; Her grandchildren: Tabitha and Brant Posey, Celena and Randy Sisk, Lizabeth, Jeremy, and Jessica Rodriguez; Her great-grandchildren: Cole and Taylor Posey, Ethan and Hope Brewer; Her brothers and sisters: Alice and Bill Moreno, Charles and Alice Cater, Faye and Chuck Winter.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5 to 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday at 2pm at the funeral home with burial following in New Sharon Cemetery.
