Imogene Rhoden, 91, of Hazel Green, went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning from her home.
Mrs. Rhoden was a Christian and a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church where she has assisted in teaching Sunday School for many years. She had retired from The Huntsville Times in 1986 after 20 years of service. Before working at The Huntsville Times, she was employed with Thiokol, Joe Bradley School, and was a substitute teacher for several years.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Patrice Jeanne Rhoden; Her parents: Robert Harris Anderson and Bertha Irene Hopper Anderson; Her sister: Frances Jane Boyd;
She is survived by her children: Linda Rhoden Ellett, Robert Rhoden, and Susan Rhoden Anderson; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren; She is also survived by five nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 until 8pm at the Hazel Green United Methodist Church; Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2pm at the church with Rev. Jeff Havens officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hazel Green United Methodist Church.
