Mrs. Patsy Sizemore Lawson
January 27, 1941 — December 26, 2014
Patsy Sizemore Lawson, 73, of Meridianville, Alabama, formerly of Gadsden, Alabama, went to be with the Lord on Friday.
She was a Christian and Southern Baptist who faithfully served the Lord by sharing God's love with others and supporting her husband of 53 years in the gospel ministry. In her early years, she graduated from Glencoe High School in Glencoe, Alabama, Patsy then worked on Redstone Arsenal for Army Missile Command for 18 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mynus and Vera Sizemore, her special, adopted parents, George T. and Lola Grace Logan, and her father and mother-in-law who loved her as their own daughter, W. G. and Vera B. Lawson.
She is survived by her loving husband, Rev. Gary Lawson; Special sister-cousin, Gerri D. Nitz; Brother-in-law, Gordon (Betty) Lawson; Her aunts, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous special friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 5 to 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11am at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Lawson officiating and Rev. Mickey Buford assisting. Committal services will follow at 2:30pm at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery in Gadsden.
