Myrtle (Holder) Morris

Myrtle Holder Morris, 93, of New Market, went to be with the Lord peacefully on Saturday while surrounded by her family at home. Mrs. Morris was a devoted follower of Christ and was loved by many because of her kindness and sweet spirit.

She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Melvin Morris.  Her daughter, Barbara Harrison and her son, Danny Melvin Morris;  She is also preceded in death by 7 brothers and 1 sister.

Surviving family members include her daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn & Jackie McDougal;  Her grandchildren:  Leslie Kay (Greg) Jones, Donnesa McDougal Golden,  Tina Spivey, and Tabatha Bastin.;  She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, and 3 sisters.

There will be a graveside service on Monday at 4pm at Taylor Cemetery in New Market.  Pallbearers will be Jordan, Seth, Collin, Kristian, Kaylee, Cody, Gene, Chelsi, and Anthony.
