He was a proud veteran of the Korean Conflict having served as a Paratrooper in the 187th Regimental Combat Team Airborne Division of the US Army.He is survived by his wife, Marie Phillips. His sons, Douglas N. Phillips and James L. Phillips. His sister, Earlene Rogers. His Brother, Billy Gene Phillips. 7 Grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2pm at the Hazel Green Funeral Home and burial will follow in Concord Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
