Nellie Marie Hulsey

Surrounded by her family and loved ones, Nellie Marie Hulsey passed away peacefully at her home in Meridianville, AL on February 6th, 2022 at the age of 61. Marie was a loving mother, grandmother, and daughter. She is survived by her devoted father Jesse Moorefield, three children Shanna Byrnes (Missi), Jesse Hulsey (Serena), and Ashley Gentle (Paul). She was greatly loved by her 4 grandchildren Jeffrey, Hunter, Tristan, and Jesslyn, as well as a multitude of loving family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother Gaythel Moorefield.

Marie’s favorite pastime was fishing and anything Disney. She enjoyed gardening, football/baseball, and spending time with her family. Notre Dame was her #1 team. Cancer decided to take up residence in her body but she never let it get her down. She fought until the end and she fought hard. She did not let cancer get her, in the end, she won a golden ticket into heaven.
