Newton Douglas "Jack" MyersNovember 3, 1932 ~ October 11, 2009Mr. Jack Myers, 76, of Hazel Green, died Sunday at his residence. Mr. Myers was born in Moorhead, Ms, served in the US Navy, and was a painter who had retired from Chrysler. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmo Douglas and Mary Lorena Myers; by his brothers, Roy Lewis, Thomas Lavell, and three half-brothers, Willford Biggs, Earnest Biggs, and Lee Myers. He is survived by his sons, Stephen Ray, Earnest Dale, and Lee Douglas. By his step-children, Ronald (Barbara) Van Deven, Nancy Van Deven, Kathleen (Russell) Asher, Barbara Ion, Bettie (Kim) Bennett, Marilene (Garry) Summerlin, Ted (Luann) Van Deven.By Mr. Myers' wishes, no services have been planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Family Care of Huntsville or the American Cancer Society. Jack leaves behind many friends, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and will be deeply missed. Hazel Green Funeral Home is assisting the family.
