Herman Otis Miller, 81, of Hazel Green, passed away on Saturday.
He was a retired iron worker, loved animals, and was an avid farmer enjoying working in his garden. He was concerned about others and wanted to help those in need. Otis also liked antique cars.
Mr Miller was preceded in death by his brothers: Harold Miller, Jerry Miller, and Wayne Miller, and by his sister, Margurite Patterson.
Surviving family members include his wife of 61 years, Ivalene Miller; His son and daughter-in-law, Tony & Georgianne Miller; His daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie & Craig Baker; Five grandchildren: Lindsey Miller, Lacey Beth & Dean Austin, Jacob Miller, Alexandria & Bill Williams, and McKenna McCracken; Five Great-grandchildren: Luke Austin, Ezra Austin, Sadie Beth Austin, Gabriel Cisneros, and Elijah Cisneros; He is also survived by three brothers: G.L. & Pat Miller, Larry Miller, and Byron & Patti Miller, and by three sisters: Dorothy Lawler, Joyce & Bobby Jean, and Burlene & Coach Henry Phillips, and by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2pm at the funeral home with Rev. Don Eade officiating. Burial will follow in New Sharon Cemetery.
