Patricia Buchanan Tucker

Patricia Buchanan Tucker, 55, of New Market, passed away on Wednesday.

She was a loving wife, mother, "nana", daughter, and sister and loved giving to others - putting everyone before herself.  She loved animals and was a supporter of pet rescue organizations.  Patricia raised three wonderful daughters and was a wonderful wife to her husband.  She insisted on keeping her grandchildren while their parents worked and loved playing on the floor with them.  She was a very active grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene "Buck" Buchanan;  Her brothers:  Billy Buchanan and Kenneth Buchanan; Her niece, Kayla Buchanan.

Surviving family members include her husband of 37 years, Larry Tucker;  Her three daughters and sons-in-law, Alicia & Nick Hamilton, Kimberly & Grady Thigpen, and Heather & Jason Vanderbrink; Her grandchildren:  Emma Jane Hamilton, Henry Hamilton, Katie Thigpen, Grant Thigpen, and Tucker Vanderbrink;  Her mother, Jeanette Buchanan; Her brothers, Bobby Buchanan, Kevin Johnson, Michael Buchanan, and Jeff Buchanan.   She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:30pm at the funeral home with Pastor Lonnie Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in Cochran Cemetery in New Market.
