Paul CurrinAugust 14, 1937 - June 25, 2011Funeral services for Paul C. Currin, 73, of Hazel Green, Ala., will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Hazel Green Funeral home with Bro. Larry Meeks officiating. Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery. Mr. Currin passed away at his residence Saturday morning after a lengthy illness. Mr. Currin was a native of Giles County, Tenn., and the son of the late A.R. and Roberta Smith Currin. He was a retired educator, having taught in the Lincoln County, Tenn., school system for 36 years at Flintville High School and Flintville Junior High. He was a graduate of Elkton High School and Middle Tennessee State University and a member of the Hilldale Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Ross Currin of Hazel Green, two children, daughter Michele Hulsey (Eric) of Hazel Green and son Jason Currin (Heather) of Delrose, Tenn., grandchildren Ben Paul Hulsey, Joshua Hulsey, both of Hazel Green, Shamus Currin, Ethen Currin and Hunter Smith, all of Delrose, Tenn., sister Doris Currin Taft of Taft, Tenn., several nephews and nieces and many friends and admirers. In addition to his parents, Mr. Currin was preceded in death by brothers Ronald Currin, Barron Currin and Billy Currin. Active pallbearers will be Barry Currin, Mike Currin, Ronnie Currin, David Ross, Dustin Ross and Larry Taft. Honorary pallbearer will be Jerry Posey. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 5 until 8pm at the funeral home.Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
