Paul Gene Thomas

Paul Gene Thomas, 69, of Harvest, Alabama, passed away on Friday morning.  He lived life to the fullest and loved his family very much.  His senior quote was his motto and he lived by it: "Why worry? Why hurry?  Everything going to be alright."  He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted Thomas & Ivy Wilborn;  his son, Brian Paul Thomas;  His daughter, Tina Chisolm;  His brother, Jerry Thomas; His sisters; Jeanetta Rigsby and Bobbie Gail Jackson.

Surviving family members include his wife, Kathy Thomas;  His daughter and son-in-law, Stacy & Shane Phillips; His grandson, Tyler (Abby) Bullington; His granddaughter, Macy Phillips;  His grandson, Bentley Phillips;  His great-granddaughter, Alayna Bullington;  His great-granddaughter, Alaina Woodard;  His sister, Wanda Mann; His brother, Dickie (Chenequa) Thomas.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from Noon until 2pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.   A graveside funeral service will follow at 2:30pm at Golightly Cemetery in Hazel Green with Bro. Rodney Underwood officiating.
