Peggy Sue (Worley) Acklin

Mrs. Peggy Sue Acklin, 83, of Huntsville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday.

Mrs. Acklin was a member of East Huntsville Church of Christ and had worked at 1st National Bank downtown.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Lynn Acklin and by her parents, William Walter & Mary Elizabeth Worley;  Her sisters: Lorene Powell, Ellen Taylor, Helen Worden, and Ruby Tallent;  Her brother, Henry Worley.

Surviving family members include her husband, Jerry D. Acklin;  Her son, MIchael David Acklin and his wife, Bobbie Carol Acklin;  Her granddaughter, Victoria Lynn Cagle;  Her great-grandchildren: Natalie, Nathan, and Gabby Flores;  She is also survived by her sister, Gladys Sanders, and by several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Saturday at 11am at the funeral home with Bro. Bill Cantrell officiating.  Burial will follow in Charity Cemetery.
