Peggy (Jones) Phillips
February 25, 1960 — June 27, 2024
Peggy Jones Phillips of Meridianville passed away on Thursday. She was 64. She was born in Fort Payne, Alabama and then raised in New Market.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Houston Jones; her granddaughter, Stacia Leigh Phillips; her sister, Cathy Lynn Thompson; Her nephew, Bradley Thompson.
Surviving family members include her husband, James. L. Phillips; her children: Shannon Marie Phillips, James Christopher Phillips, Jamie Lee Phillips (Miranda), and Joseph Adam Phillips (Olesya); her grandchildren: Bailey Young, Jacob Young, Aeron Young, Kelsey Phillips, Austin Ward, Kyla Phillips, Trevor Phillips, Dylan Phillips, and Veronica Phillips; Her mom, Shirley Jones; Her sisters: Cheryl (Wayne) Bryant and Kim (Dirk) Skirha.
She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
There will be a graveside service on Sunday at 10am on Highway 78 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Fort Payne/Adamsburg with Brother Jerome Acuff officiating.
