Polly BoboSept. 26, 1923 ~ Nov. 10, 2011Dorothy Pauline (Polly) Ray Bobo, 88, died Thursday in Huntsville. Mrs. Bobo was the oldest daughter of the late Walter and Lizzie Ray of Hurricane Valley. She prided herself on helping with the rearing and guidance of her 7 siblings. She taught first and second grade at Riverton School during World War II. Mrs. Bobo was a loving wife and partner to her late husband, Dicky Ray Bobo, as they conducted a farm operation and ran a fertilizer business in the Hazel Green community for more than 50 years. Mrs. Bobo loved people and greatly enjoyed her friends at Gardens of Huntsville Assisted Living. She had proudly served as one of their ambassadors during her stay there. Mrs. Bobo was a member of the Meridianville Church of Christ. Mrs. Bobo is survived by a son, Wayne Bobo and Sandy of Hazel Green; daughter, Sharal Huegele and Vince of Huntsville; grandchildren, Robin Wright and Allen of New Market, Amanda Quick and Brad of Kelso, TN and Benjamin Huegele of Huntsville; great-grandchildren Lane and Mackenzie Wright of New Market and Corbin Quick of Kelso, TN; sisters Edith Brooks and Mickie Miller of Huntsville, Lucy Wooten and Joann Brady of Madison; extended family of Ray cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends, all of whom she loved dearly. Visitation for Mrs. Bobo will be Sunday from 5 to 8:00 p.m. at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral will be Monday at 1:00 at the funeral home with Bill Cantrell and Randy Pyle officiating, burial following in State Line Cemetery.
