Randall Wayne McKelvey (68) passed away peacefully June 22nd, 2023, at his home in Gulf Breeze Florida, with his family lovingly by his side. Funeral services will be held at Hazel Green Funeral Home, Hazel Green Al 4pm Wednesday June 28th 2023 with visitation starting at 1:00 - 4:00 PM. Burial will follow funeral service at Taylor Cemetery.
Born March 14th, 1955 to Fred and Corrine, McKelvey in Huntsville, Alabama
Randall married Janice Jeanette Berry on February 2nd, 1973 they celebrated 50 years of marriage, friendship and the family they had created this past February.
Randall held many titles in his life, from pastor to contractor, but his favorite role was being a husband and father. He loved nothing more than spending time with his adult children, Randi and Sandi. He was labeled a workaholic by family and friends, but he loved life just as much. He never saw a job he wouldn’t tackle or a body of water he wouldn't jump into. His spirit and tenacity will seldom be matched. He will be remembered for the sermons he preached, the skills he taught, and the love he gave. He truly impacted all who knew him.
Randall was preceded in death by his father Fred Eugene McKelvey, his mother Aunrey Corrine McKelvey, and his brother David Eugene McKelvey
Randall is survived by his loving wife Janice McKelvey, his daughters Randi Salsman and husband Doug and Sandi Merriman and husband Jon. His grandchildren Bradley Salsman, Max Salsman, Ava Salsman, Ellie Merriman, Jack Merriman and Daisy Salsman. His great grandchildren Naomi Salsman, Charlotte Salsman, Roman Salsman, Harrison Fishburn and Noah Owens. His Brother Bruce McKelvey and wife Christina. His sister Freddie Friend and husband Lee.
