Raymond O. CampbellJune 4, 1926 ~ December 24, 2009Mr. Raymond O. Campbell, 83, of Hazel Green, died Thursday evening at his home. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and had served in World War II. Mr. Campbell was part owner of Harbin and Campbell Grocery on Joe Quick Road. He was a devoted Christian, a godly husband and father who loved and supported his family, and a faithful member of Union Grove Baptist Church in New Market where he served as a deacon. He enjoyed farming and working outdoors in his garden. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruby Harbin Campbell; His Daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Dan Poole. His grandson, Danny Poole. Granddaughter and her husband, Stacie and Fred Vengrouskie. 2 Great-grandchildren, Lauren and Paige.Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 5 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Sunday at 2:30 pm at Union Grove Baptist Church in New Market with Rev. Harold Fanning, Rev. Benny Berry, and Rev. Paul Little officiating. The body will lie in state beginning at 1:30.
