Richard Wall Reed

Today, we lay Richard Wall Reed of Toney, AL to rest after passing away quietly at home from complications of pneumonia Wednesday morning. After retiring from Thiokol (Huntsville, AL), he enjoyed life as a farmer for 34 years. A mentor and friend of many, he touched many lives in his 85 years on this earth. He enjoyed traveling to find windmills and exotic animals which he brought back to this area.Preceded in death by his Mother and Father (Hattie Adle Cabiness and William Anderson Reed), four brothers, five sisters, one daughter and one grandson. He leaves his wife Cornetha Payne Reed; three daughters: Janice Gail Davis of Rogersville, AL; Kathy Lynn O'Gorman of Decatur, AL and Wanda Jeanette Davis of Madison, AL; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 1 PM Friday at Hazel Green Funeral Home with burial following in Stateline Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 to 7pm also at the funeral home.
