Rickey David Lynn Reid

Rickey David Lynn Reid, 67, of New Market, Alabama, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, neighbor, and friend. He was a member of Plevna Holiness Church for the past 49 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Irlan and Irene Reid; brother, James Reid; infant brother, Charles Reid; brothers-in-law, Everett Bailey, Frank Rozell, and Paul Judge; parents-in-law, Leonard and Ruth Holman; and granddog, Lucky.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sandra Holman Reid; his children, Rickey Dean Reid, Leslie (Cliff) Patterson, Jeremy (Brittany) Reid, and Kevin (Melissa) Guest; grandchildren, Kammie, Preston, Annalee, Levi, and Hollis Guest, and Isaiah, Anaiah, and Noah Reid; siblings, Agnes Reid, Helen (Dean) Helser, Gene (Linda) Reid, and Louise Judge; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Janice (Bennie) Hudgens and Larry (Dottie) Holman; 13 nieces and nephews; a host of family and friends; and his beloved gray cat.

The family will receive friends Friday evening at Plevna Holiness Church from 6 -9 PM and Saturday from noon until service time beginning at 2 PM with Rev. Ricky Holman and Rev. Ollie Taylor officiating.. Burial to follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brian Bailey, Jason Reid, Terry Holman, Jason Campbell, Adam Stone and Jimmy Davis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eddy Childress, Mike Marrs, Larry Taylor, Ronnie Brannon, Frankie Hereford, Mike McCallister, Robby Schrimsher, Jared Arnold and Mitchell Holman.
