Rita Kay (Moore) Mason
June 25, 1963 — September 28, 2023
Rita Kay Moore Mason, 60, of New Market, passed away peacefully on Thursday while surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, and aunt and she dearly loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Johnnie Wesley Moore; Her brother, Roger Wesley Moore; Her brothers-in-law, Tommy Howard and Jammie Mason.
Surviving family members include her husband of 44 years, Jackie Mason; Her mother, Martha Moore; Her daughter, Teiera Mason; Her grandsons: Jackson Mason and Johnnie D. Mason; Her siblings: Cathy Howard, Danny Moore, and Dean Moore (Sheila); She is also survived by her niece, Mindy Crabb, her nephew, Daniel Moore, and her niece, Stacey Henshaw, along with several great-nieces and great-nephews, and her brother-in-law, Joseph Mason.
The family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm on Wednesday evening at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11am at the funeral home with burial following in Concord Cemetery.
