Roy Vernon Edwards

Roy Vernon Edwards, 93, of New Market, Alabama passed away December 19, 2024. He was born on February 1, 1931 in New Market, Alabama to the late Charlie and Clattie Edwards .
Mr. Edwards served proudly in the United States Army. Roy never met a stranger. He loved to play music and was a "card shark". But most of all, he loved his family.
Roy is survived by his wife of 30 years Janet Edwards, daughter, Janice Loveday, grandchildren Erik Loveday, Erin Pugh, Amber Edwards, Chad Edwards, Wesley Edwards, Stephanie D"Alessandro, Kylie Quimby, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, brothers Charles Junior Edwards, and Larry Edwards and his sister Jean Swanson. He is also survived by many other friends and extended family.
In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by sons, Vernon Wayne Edwards, and Randall Hoyt Edwards; his brother, Willie Rube Edwards, and his sister, Mary Lou Marfisi.
The family will receive friends at Hazel Green Funeral Home on Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 12:00PM - 1:00PM Funeral services will be at 1:00PM on December 21, 2024 at Hazel Green Funeral Home with Pastor Benny Berry officiating. Interment will be at Concord Cemetery.
