Ruth C. Cook, 94, of Hazel Green, passed away at her home.  She was a Christian and was a faithful member of Shiloh Church of Christ.  She was a hairdresser for fifty years and operated Ruth's Salon of Beauty in Hazel Green for more than 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thurman Vaughn;  By her second husband, Charles M. Cook;  Her parents, George & Pearl Caldwell;  Her brother, Pete Caldwell;  Her sister, Gay Stinnett.

Surviving family members include her son and daughter-in-law, Johnny & Sandy Vaughn;  Her grandsons, Keith Vaughn, H.E. Saunders, and David Saunders;  Her granddaughters, Brandy Houston, Kristy Edwards, Sara Kersey, and Laura Saunders; Her step-daughter, Phyllis (Sandy) Saunders; Her special friend and companion, Bill White.  She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren as well as her nephew, Tommy (Lydia) Stinnett and her niece, Susan (James) Norman

The family will receive friends on Saturday evening 5pm until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Sunday at 2pm at the funeral home with Bro. Brian McCutchen and Bro. Ron Little officiating. Visitation with the family will be two hours prior to the service.   Burial will follow and will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
