Scottie "Bones" Edwards

Scottie "Bones" Edwards, 50, of New Market, passed away on Tuesday at a local hospital.

Mr. Edwards was a life-long resident of New Market and attended New Market and Buckhorn schools.  Bones was an outgoing person who never met a stranger and greeted everyone with a hug.  He was a good friend to all who knew him and he loved his family very much.  He was a hard worker and worked for a number of years for Huntsville Fence Company.

He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Loyd Ward.

Surviving family members include his parents, William Donald "Big Chick" & Sarah Pruitt "Grannie" Edwards;  His sister, Marlene & Paul Stuart; His sister, Gwen & David Perry; His brother, Chris & Kay Edwards; His brother, Darcy & Angie Edwards.  He is also survived by his special aunt and caregiver, Eveline White, and by several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5 to 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Friday at 2pm at the funeral home and burial will follow in Miller Cemetery.
