Sherry Jo Burney

Sherry Jo Burney, born on October 14th, 1959, of Hazel Green, Alabama, passed peacefully on Monday, March 29th, 2021. Sherry was a loving woman, feisty in nature, strong and very independent. She enjoyed singing, laughing, and spending time with her friends and family.
Sherry was preceded in death by her mother, Doyce Hillis, father, Clayton Hillis, and sister-in-law, Carolyn Hillis. Sherry is survived by her daughter, Alanah Medford and son-in-law, Coty Medford, her brother, Donnie Hillis, and his wife, Monica Hillis, her grandchildren, Rohen and Cooper Medford, nephew, Jonathan and Brian Hillis, and their wives, Charli and Shayna, and best friend, Vicki Phillips.
We know she is free of pain, and laughing, singing and reunited with her loved ones who have passed before her. Visitation will be held at 6pm with a service immediately following at 7pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home on Friday, April 2nd, 2021
